Saturday front page of the Winnipeg Free Press

We re-plated to make the Arts front pointer (iDecade) bigger taking
out the Green Page pointer at the bottom. It must be noted that the
Saturday Special regarding Toilet-bowl mom has an amazing photo on the
turn. Please look for it. It's going into the photos of the year page
if I get my way.

Timelapse in the newsroom

Timelapse in the newsroom, originally uploaded by mdcellphoto.

Tested out a new app for the iPhone called itimelapse while at work in the newsroom on Friday. About 1600 images were shot in an hour and a half. Kinda cool except it wouldn't let me export anything higher than 320x480.

One last peek out the window

One last peek out the window, originally uploaded by mdcellphoto.

The view from our bedroom window the last time I looked through it
this morning. Lots of memories of doing this "peeking" to see what the
hubub was all about. Like the time I watched a kid flee a stolen car
he left in the middle of the street. Or when the university students
(who no longer live around here) started throwing their beer bottles
into the street.

Ahh the memories...

100 Main Street is torn down

100 Main Street is torn down, originally uploaded by mdcellphoto.

The Friends of Upper Fort Garry (FUFG) began the demolition of the
building at 100 Main Street writing the next chapter in Upper Fort
Garry’s long, rich history tomorrow with the swing of a crane. FUFG
took ownership of 100 Main Street on June 1, 2009, along with the Gate
property. FUFG are working on the plans for the development of the
site and plan to have public open houses in early 2010. TODAY, the 100
Main Street building will come down and open up the site for the first
time in many years.
